How Does it work?

Thermal Shield

BAUTER products create a thermal shield that reflects heat and radiation. This shield is formed by vacuum microspheres tailored to the dimensions of thermal radiation wavelengths, acting like a labyrinth of mirrors.

With the highest TSR (Total Solar Reflectance) on the market, reflecting 93% of thermal energy and featuring high emissivity, as the radiation beam attempting to pass through it is reflected multiple times and redirected back, with virtually no energy absorption.

Surpasses Traditional Insulation

Even in direct contact with other materials, the non-conductive vacuum inside the microspheres prioritizes radiation.

All traditional thermal insulation materials (expanded polystyrene, mineral wool, or foams) create thermal resistance only to conduction. This resistance merely delays heat transfer, which will eventually pass through, and also prevents the wall from breathing properly. That’s why, with less than 1 millimetre thickness, it achieves results that surpass traditional insulation methods.

Thin Film Insulation

Bauter Thermal Mass is a thin-film insulation product that can be used on equipment and surfaces where this was not previously possible.

Reducing temperatures up to 100° Celsius using a 1 mm layer of thermal insulation coating.

Bauter Thermal Mass insulation systems can be used on equipment and surfaces reaching temperatures of up to 320° Celsius. Applications include furnaces, connectors,

valves, pipes and other heat-conducting components. This product proves itself where excessive heat generation is the main problem,

thoroughly insulating, protecting and lowering the temperature. The system can therefore be used in any industry, it is a cross industry product.

Nanotechnology

The nanotechnology reduces the loss of heat or cold during the transfer of media and protects the outer coating from corrosion.

Bauter’s insulation coatings are washable, easy to maintain, resistant to fungi, mould and chemicals including salt and sulfur.

Testing certificates validate insulation gains, reduced smoke and fire resistance properties and non toxic inhalation factors.

Highly Flexible

Thanks to its elastomeric formula, the mass is highly flexible and in fact holds 300% heat or cold flexibility therefore resistant to micro-cracks.

This type of insulation system reduces heat loss by 30 - 35% by reducing external SA surface area temperatures by up to 100°C and can be applied

directly to surface temperatures of up to 150°C maximum.

The aim here is to limit heat loss and reduce insulation and operating costs for industries using heat pipes.
